Hello everyone, I am Veronica from Hong Kong!
I started my working holiday in Japan from May and Eita Language Shelter is my first stop. Three years ago I traveled to Takamatsu for the Setouchi Triennale, a perfect combination of seaside and artworks, two of my favourite things in life. I wish to have a taste of life in Takamatsu since then. I was warmly welcomed by the team as soon as I arrived and immediately get into the delightful atmosphere of Eita Language Shelter!
I met Yucca, another Hong Kong staff/roommate here and we became good friends the minute we met because of our similar background. Though we’ve only got a week’s time, we had a lot fun together. Thank you Yucca-chan and wish you all the best for your challenges ahead!
I treasure the experience of every chat with enthusiastic students during our english cafe time. It is an very good opportunity to exchange our thoughts on different topics from the perspective of Japan and Hong Kong. We talked about wide range of topics from travel, work, music, religion and all kinds of interesting stuff! Yucca and I even teach some of the students Cantonese by english and they are speaking really well!
I will stick with Eita Language Shelter for two month’s time in Takamatsu, hope that I get to listen each one of your stories while I am around!
